RepSignal for Salesforce FAQs
RepSignal is an AI-driven software designed to increase MedTech commercial team effectiveness. RepSignal provides medical device teams with key intel about physicians, hospitals, procedures, geographies, and clinical markets.
RepSignal is installed by your Salesforce Administrators. If you haven’t been trained on how to use RepSignal, reach out to your Admin for further details.
A Procedure Module is a grouping of related procedures and provider specialties - which work together so RepSignal can show information specific to your team’s targeting strategy. Modules prove very useful when splitting out separate targeting strategies for a product, or even representing targeting strategies for different products.
At S2N, we work together with Company Account Leads to determine the best account configuration during the onboarding process, which includes creating all the Modules available for their company.
RepSignal pulls from a variety of data sources including procedural claims, prescriptions, industry payments, publications & trials, and more. For details on each data source including frequency of update, see the RepSignal Data Glossary.
RepSignal automatically updates to reflect the most recently available data, which means you’ll likely see new data as you use it. For details on each data source including frequency of update, see the RepSignal Data Glossary.
A Procedure Module is a grouping of related procedures and provider specialties - which work together so RepSignal can show information specific to your team’s targeting strategy.
If the selected procedure module does not include the provider’s specialty, you’ll see a warning badge indicating this might not be the right module to pick.
If you see this warning, try selecting another procedure module which may be more applicable to the record you’re viewing.
The warning badge next to the Physician name indicates that the name for the RepSignal profile does not match the name of the Contact you’re viewing, and may be linked inappropriately.
If you see this warning, first check if some short-hand is used in the Contact name that could cause this error (e.g., “Dr. Smith” instead of “James Smith”)
If the name seems correct, consider if the wrong RepSignal profile has been linked in. If so, simply replace the “NPI (RepSignal)” field in the Details tab with the correct NPI, or contact your Salesforce Admin to make this change.
RepSignal uses the “NPI (RepSignal)” and “CCN (RepSignal)” fields in the Details of each record to identify what profile to display in the RepSignal tab.
If the wrong profile is linked, replace the relevant “NPI (RepSignal)” or “CCN (RepSignal)” field in the Details tab with the correct identifier.
This error indicates your Salesforce Org or User ID is not properly connected to RepSignal. First, reach out to you Salesforce Admin who may be able to resolve the issue. For further assistance, have your Salesforce Admin reach out to your RepSignal Account Manager.
RepSignal uses the “NPI (RepSignal)” and “CCN (RepSignal)” fields in the Details of each record to identify what profile to display in the RepSignal tab.
If there is no identifier linked, either automatically link one of the suggestions seen in the RepSignal tab, or manually input the relevant “NPI (RepSignal)” or “CCN (RepSignal)” field in the Details tab with the correct identifier.
Currently RepSignal data is not stored in the Salesforce environment directly*. This means it is not directly accessible for use in Reports and Dashboards, other than identifying if records are linked to RepSignal or with “Lead Source” from RepSignal.
*other than the unique identifiers stored in the Details of each record page
