RepSignal Procedure Volume Estimate

The “RepSignal Procedure Volume Estimate” represents a total procedure volume estimate for the Target Procedures identified in your Procedure Module. This estimate is …

  • Representative of 2022 annual volumes

  • National.

  • All-payer (Medicare including MA, Medicaid, Commercial, Self-Pay, etc.)

  • Representative of all CPTs included in each Target Procedure Set.

  • For physicians

    • all setting and all facility (Inpatient, Outpatient, Alternate Site, etc.)

This estimate is built off of RepSignal’s underlying procedural data (for more, click here) and adjusted for a variety of factors including historical trends, geography, specific procedure, and more.

Notably, this estimate does not reflect Covid-19 impact on trending volumes.

RepSignal Recommended Hospitals

RepSignal uses AI to identify hospitals with similar practice characteristics, analyzing over 100K variables to recommend other hospitals with similar procedural, operational, resource, and staff characteristics

RepSignal Recommended Physicians

RepSignal uses AI to identify physicians with similar practice characteristics, analyzing over 100K variables to recommend other physicians with similar procedural, prescription, and payment patterns.

Signaled Physician

A signaled physician is recommended by RepSignal as a potential good target. RepSignal uses AI to determine characteristics of physicians related to performing a high volume of your Target Procedures, and finds physicians with those characteristics. If you see the Signal icon, take a look at that physician's profile!

Territory Optimizer

Territory Optimizer is RepSignal’s territory recommendation engine. RepSignal analyzes zip-code level procedure data and determines the highest procedure volume clusters in the US based on your inputs of:

  • Maximum Number of New Territories

  • Maximum Territory Radius (Miles)

  • Minimum Target Procedure Volume

  • Include Current Territories (yes/no)

  • Included Procedure Sets

Relative Volume Indicator

For each physician’s Medicare FFS practice, RepSignal uses a proprietary algorithm to quantify the given physician's relative volume of performing that procedure compared to all other physicians who perform that procedure. High volume indicates they perform more than the typical doctor who performs that specific procedure. Low volume indicates they perform less than the typical doctor who performs that specific procedure.
